OPEN POSITIONS

Front Desk Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Peninsula Heating & Air (PHA) values quality workmanship and dedication. Not only do we seek candidates who are intelligent, self-motivating, and organized, but those whom are also approachable and kind, attributes which we simply cannot teach!

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday; 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • 1-Hour lunch period
  • Rotating Saturdays (8 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
  • Rotating Holidays
  • Overtime required as needed, based on demand

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Personable, pleasant, friendly helpful demeanor
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Handles pressure well
  • Flexibility is required – overtime may be required
  • Neat and professional personal appearance (PHA Office Staff Dress Code is attached)

Job Duties:

1. Maintain clean and tidy work area

2. Phone:

  • Answering the phones promptly, pleasantly and professionally prevails over all other duties.
  • “First-on” to answer the phone using a helpful demeanor
  • Answer phone before the end of the 2nd ring
  • Minimize hold-time – NO RINGBACKS!
  • Minimize voicemail – PHA’s policy is to avoid placing the customer in voicemail. Instead, direct the caller to a staff member who can help. We do our best to take care of the caller’s need when they call.

3. Greet and welcome visitors with hospitality –

  • Direct them appropriately – i.e.: “Please feel free to look around our showroom, or if you would like to wait here” (in the waiting area or seat them in the conference room).
  • Notify staff member promptly of the visitor’s arrival

4. Offer clerical and office support to all staff members

5. Perform other related miscellaneous duties, as required

Installation Helper

Full-Time Position

  • Monday-Friday
  • Open to work Saturdays as needed
  • Overtime required as needed, based on demand

Primary Duty:

  • Assists lead technician with installations

Required: All applicants must have a valid Virginia driver’s license to be considered. PHA Inc. conducts drug tests and background checks as a condition of employment.
Service Technician

Expected Salary: $50,000 – $80,000+

Peninsula Heating & Air (PHA) is looking to hire a detail-oriented, dependable Service Technician to repair and maintain our customers’ comfort systems. This position requires the technician to diagnose problems, clearly explain issue(s) to customers in a polite, respectful manner, and relay solutions for the system for repair(s) and replacement options. The technician will be responsible for ensuring an accurate diagnosis is provided and will communicate all follow-up efforts with the office to ensure smooth coordination. The technician is also expected to maintain the highest level of safety, ensure customer satisfaction, be organized and dependable, and above all else, continuously convey PHA’s motto to, “Offer the Professional Difference” in everything we do.

Full-Time Position

  • Regular Hours: Monday-Friday
  • Rotating Service On-Call schedule requiring ability to work after-hours, on weekends, and public holidays, as required; Overtime required as needed, based on demand

Job Requirements:   

  • 3+ Years’ Experience Required for Position
  • Proficient Electrical and Mechanical HVAC Diagnostic Skills
  • Valid Driver’s License with Good Driving Record (*Must be Insurable under Company Policy)
  • Capable of Understanding Schematics and Work Plans 
  • Ability to Climb Ladders and by Physically Agile to work in Attic and Crawlspace Environments
  • Initiative to Perform Duties Professionally and Respectfully
  • Maintain High Customer Service
  • Maintain Organized Service Truck
  • Ensure Compliance to all Safety Protocols and Policies
  • Exude Motivated Salesmanship for Retail Sales (Parts & Equipment Replacement)
